4 Days Selous Game Reserve
The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest faunal reserves of the world, located in the south of Tanzania. Dry Season: June to mid November. This is the best time for game viewing along the rivers and lakes. Elephants come out of the bush at that time and predators are more commonly seen. December to February is good for game viewing but can be rather hot and humid
DAY 1: Drive from Dar Es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve
Pick up from Dar Es Salaam, and drive to the Selous (4-5 hrs).
You will take part in an afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. Where you can see plenty of hippos, crocodiles and bird life. Overnight at the Selous Tented Camp All meals included
DAY 2-3: Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast, proceed with a full game drive in Selous, Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54.600kms – bigger than Denmark and 4 times the size of Serengeti!.
Selous has the world’s largest number of large game animals – elephant, buffalo, and rhino. It also contains wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard and lion, not to mention over 350 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the Selous Tented Camp. All meals included.
DAY 4: Drive from Selous - Dar Es Salaam
Early morning walking safari then breakfast, after breakfast drive to Dar Es Salaam
