3 DAYS SAADANI SAFARI FROM ZANZIBAR
Saadani, with its unique location on the Indian Ocean, provides the opportunity for game viewing and birdlife at the same time as enjoying fabulous white-sand beaches – perhaps you’ll be lucky and see an elephant cavorting in the waves! You’ll arrive in time for lunch. For the rest of the day you can settle into your lodge, perched right beside the ocean, fling yourself into a hammock on your private balcony, wander along the beach and relax in preparation for the forthcoming safaris.
DAY 1
Travel to Saadani National Park
First ferry from Zanzibar depart 07:00 am, meet & greet in Dar Es Salaam at 08:30 am Saadani National Park positioned on the coast north of Dar es Salaam (approximately 4 hours drive) – proceed with afternoon game drive. Overnight Simply Saadani Camp (lunch and dinner)
DAY 2
Saadani National Park – game drive & boat safari on Wami River
Today is a full day of game viewing. The highlight of Saadani is a boat safari on the Wami River, with a profusion of coastal and riverine birdlife, and black and white Colobus monkeys frolicking in the trees beside the river. As you meander along you’ll soon see large crocodiles and hippo keeping watch from the sand banks
Overnight at Simply Saadani Camp
(breakfast, lunch and dinner)
DAY 3
Early Morning Walking Safari – Drive to Dar Es Salaam
Early Morning walking safari then breakfast, after breakfast drive back to Dar Es Salaam
