EXPECTED TO SEE

Day 1: Arrival Julius Nyerere International Airport

You will be met at the airport at Dar es Salaam by your driver/guide and our representative. We will take you to the Airport Transit Lodge

Day 2: Dar Es Salaam Biking Tour

After breakfast, you will have a Biking Tour to Pugu Hills. The Pugu Forest is 12 KM from the airport and 25 KM from the Dar es Salaam city center. Originally named the Mogo Forest, is considered one of the oldest forests in the world. The Pugu Hills Forest Reserve is the location of the source of the Msimbazi River. The forest is protected because of its high biodiversity levels. Pugu Forest has been visited by many biologists and is one of the top forests for bird conservation in Africa with over 80 recorded species. On the other side of an abandoned railway tunnel are man-made caves that house a large colony of bats. Visitors to Pugu Forest can watch the bats as they fly out of the caves in the evening, which is quite amazing. Later back to the hotel and overnight Airport Transit Lodge – Breakfast

Day 3: Drive Dar Es Salaam to Selous Selous Game Reserve (4-5 hrs)

After breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel, and drive to the Selous (4-5 hrs).
You will take part in an afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. Where you can see plenty of hippos, crocodiles and bird life. Overnight at Selous Tented Camp – full board.

Day 4: Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast full day game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional
guide, in which you should see and learn much about a large number of animals, including
all the great favorites – lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra – and all the other major
species including the now rare African hunting dog. Great variety of bird species. Wonderful scenery, with varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views to far-off mountains. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight Selous Tented Camp – full board.

Day 5: Selous Game Reserve

Early morning foot safari looking for close encounters with visiting near village by Bushman return to the camp for late breakfast. After lunch – afternoon game drive in Selous Game Reserve back to the lodge for dinner and overnight Selous Tented Camp- full board.

Day 6: Selous Game Reserve - Morogoro

After breakfast set off by 4×4 on game drive across the Selous Game Reserve with picnic lunch then proceed to Morogoro. In the afternoon visit Kimango farm or relax at the lodge and overnight Mbuyuni Farm Retreat – full board.

Day 7: In Morogoro - Traditional Healer at Madola Village

After breakfast drive to Madola village. The village is the home of a talented female
traditional healer . Madola is a single family village unique and of great respect in Waluguru society. The family grows cassava, sugar cane, mangoes, corn and beans and the eldest son also does wood carving to increase income generation.Later drive to Morogoro up Mbuyuni Farm Retreat for dinner and overnight. Full board.

Day 8: Drive from Morogoro - Mikumi (around 2 hours )

After breakfast, visiting Mbuyuni Farm then later drive to Mikumi National Park up to the lodge for check in and later afternoon game drive back for dinner & overnight in Camp Bastian

Day 9: Mikumi - Full day visiting Maasai village

After breakfast, drive to Maasai village – The Maasai are a colorful tribe found in Tanzania
whose nomadic traditional lifestyle has lasted for centuries. Their traditional industry is
cattle rearing and their herdsmen are extremely skilled. You will learn their day-to-say
activities and later drive back to camp for overnight in Camp Bastian – full board.

Day 10: Full day game drive in Mikumi National Park

Full day of game drives in the Mikumi National Park Overnight in Camp Bastian. Whilst on
safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. Full board

Day 11: Drive from Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Departure for Udzungwa Mountain National Park, arriving in the afternoon – after relax afternoon Mang’ula village tour. On the way to Udzungwa you can visit Mikumi snake park. Overnight in the Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo) – full board.

Day 12: Hiking in Udzungwa Mountains through Sanje Waterfalls

After having breakfast in the morning, you will then drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park gate while being accompanied with picnic lunch pack. Then, proceed with a trekking that leads to the spectacular trails up to Sanje Falls, one of the unique features of Udzungwa. Here, you will get a good view of Kilombero valley which is ideal for agriculture. Enjoy the whole afternoon tour to this unique park descending then drive back to the lodge in the late evening for your hot dinner and spend the night at Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo) – full board.

Day 13: Drive to Bagamoyo - Lazy Lagoon Island

After having breakfast in the morning, you will then drive to Bagamoyo stop for lunch and stretch the legs in Morogoro. Then, proceed to Bagamoyo – then boat transfer to Lazy Lagoon Island. Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight Lazy Lagoon – full board.

Day 14: Relax on the Lazy Lagoon Island

Imagine a private island in the Indian Ocean, the waves lapping the white sandy beach just
metres from your bed. The day stretches ahead with promises of sun, snorkeling, Kayaking and mangrove exploration, just interrupted by freshly prepared meals. Lazy Lagoon – full board.

Day 15: Drive to Dar Es Salaam

After breakfast, drive to Dar Es Salaam – depends with their flight connection.
